Integrity, or being morally and ethically correct in addition to honest and sincere whilst holding a united front is something that cannot be achieved by following a set of rules. Personal Integrity is ‘being true to thine own self’ in the face of all opposers and obstacles. I try my best to continue to advocate for myself and my passions in front of all audience using my most moral, ethical, honest, and sincere appeals. I believe my first act of integrity was committing to Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School in the sixth grade. There is nothing more true to myself than my gender and ethnicity and Irma Rangel YWLS, a predominantly Hispanic and African American school, allows me to embrace these two basic characteristics of my person. Having to remake this decision again at the end of my middle school career was significantly harder but I sincerely believe that attending Rangel for High school has afforded me many opportunities that might not have been at hand at other schools. …show more content…

These three examples of integrity have brought around great karma as well. Participating in the school choir for the past six and a half years has opened many doors for me. Within the choir, I have been voted in the librarian, section leader, parliamentarian, vice president- and for two consecutive years- president. Furthermore, helping out the drama class with their shortage of crewmen, or crew-women, for their University Interscholastic League (UIL)- One Act Play resulted in us moving on to state.
