If someone sees an injured bird they will want to help it. The same rule applies for humans, so when I have children and they grow up I will do my best to help them along in life. I will teach them to cook, help them with their homework when they need it, and when they go through fazes where they act like idiots. I will not call them idiots, I will call them something else. Because I am nice and I know I was an idiot when I was their age to. I will tell them that the dumbest thing they can do is date to young. They do not know who they like and they do not know what people are like. So in my house we will have three golden rules about dating. First they must be at least be able to drive. Also it is just weird to have a 16 year old dating an 18 or even 20 year old. The same goes for them dating younger children. Last and most important, they must have impeccable manners. If they do not say please and thank you, and if they are boys they better be opening doors. When they introduce themselves to me if they are a boy I will shake their hand if they give me a nice firm handshake they passed, but if they give me a cold dead fish, I will squeeze as hard as I can not until one of two things happen, he tightens his grip, or his hand breaks. If he is not going to protect his hand he does not deserve to have it anyway. The dating rules I have will be taken very seriously in my household. First they must be able to drive. Second they must be within one year of each other's age. And third they must have manners. Otherwise I will be beat him till he looks like a dying bird on the sidewalk, someone will come along and help
