I took five personality assessments to see what personalities seem to define who I am. I agree with some of the results, but some I don’t agree with at all. These assessments tend to mostly be accurate, however, some aren't who I am. The first personality assessment I took is called The Big Five Personality Test. The test is said to help me understand why I act the way I do and how my personality is structured. The results that I got showed me that my personality was high in agreeable ness and also high in extraversion. Agreeableness is a personality trait in people who show kindness, empathy, cooperation, warmness, and those who are considerate. Having an internal locus of control means that our successes and failures come from the amount of effort we put forth. People who are internals will hard for what they think they need in life. They won't blame their failures on anything else, but their own mistakes and not trying hard enough. I like to work hard for what I get in life. I don’t believe that what we get comes from luck or fate. The third personality assessment test I took is called the Short Dark Triad. The Short Dark Triad will determine if I am higher in narcissism, Machiavellianism, or psychopathy. I scored highest in Machiavellianism. The three types of personality this test asserts are narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy. Machiavellianism is said to be a person who has a tendency to be so focused on themselves and their own interests that they manipulate, deceive, and treat others unfairly to achieve their goals. The Machiavellianism can be a score up to 100. Those who score above 60 are said to be high in Machiavellianism. Machiavellianism has been found to be more common in men than in women, it can even be found in children down to the age of two years old. Those who have the trait of Machiavellianism will tend to only focus on themselves before anyone else. These people will put money and power over relationships, but come across as charming and confident. They will struggle to identify their own emotions and rarely reveal their intentions.
