Percy’s relationship with other characters reveal a lot about who he is.The feelings with his mother is that there close. Percy feelings his dad is he thinks he’s a coward and Percy doesn't like his step father. Percy's feelings with his mom is that they are both close because in the text it says “But ever since, my mom went out of her way to eat blue. She baked blue birthday cakes. She mixed blueberry smoothies. She bought blue-corn tortilla chips and brought home blue candy from the shop. This—along with keeping her maiden name, Jackson, rather than calling herself Mrs. Ugliano—was proof that she wasn't totally suckered by Gabe. Percy Percy provides the novel with the perfect parallel to Dunstan. He does, however, contrast in many ways to Dunstan. They are best friends, but Percy rivalry results in the formation of the main setting of the novel. Percy also feels more of an attachment to material goods than Dunstan does. He thinks only of himself and is in constant pursuit of total and utter control. Percy was low moral standards in comparison to Dunstan and in some ways, feels he is of a higher stature than other human beings. This awkward relationship between him and Dunstan forms the basis of the novel.

Soon enough it was the last day of school which his mom brings him to a beach house. That night their was a huge storm which end up making them leave but by them leaving they end up getting attacked by minotaur. The beginning of the myth of Cronus is about the father Uranus and the mother Gaea had children and the father did not like how one of them look so the other brothers took down their father Uranus .The middle of the myth is about is that Cronus, one of the children got married and he was afraid that his child would rise up against so he swallowed every one of them.At the end of the myth, Zeus one of his children did not get swallowed , he had a plan to get his siblings back and he did and he took down his father just like the prophet said would happen. In the myth had a prophecy that would someday happen and they both tried to not make it come true, but it still happened and they were both wrong trying to skip the prophet Cronus and his Titan brothers to rise up against their father and save their other brothers Cronus did
...ts suicide at the end of the book. As with Dunstan, Percy is influenced by the powerful motivator of guilt. He felt so overpoweringly guilty because of what he did to Ms. Dempster that he committed suicide. If the motivator of guilt had not been present, he would have kept on living.
Percy Jackson is a very interesting character but he’s more interesting when they keep some his great characteristics in the movie. There are many differences along with similarities in the comparison between the book and the movie of Percy Jackson The Lightning Thief. One of the major differences between the two was how in the book Luke and Percy never fought for the bolt because Luke took it, but in the movie Luke and Percy have an epic battle for the bolt. A good similarity with the two is that they do a very good job in describing Percy’s background and how they were in the Lotus hotel and got stuck their for hours but realistically was 5 days. Percy Jackson lives a normal but hard life. The reader is able to determine that this is the ordinary world as Percy has not been told his true identity. Percy thinks he is an ordinary average teenage boy attending sixth grade at his sixth school, Yancy Academy which is a “private school for troubled kids in upstate New York.” Percy mentions that his life is quite confusing as well as he describes he has dyslexia and ADHD. These are the problems create a major issues as they affecting and make his academic achievement difficult. At birth Percy’s first father had left him and his mother. After his father left them his mother decided to get remarried. From Percy’s point of view this was not a smart choice as his step father treated her poorly. Percy is definitely unsatisfied and frustrated with her decision as he respects and cares about her a lot. Percy also greatly loves his mother as he defends her when she is disrespected by his stepfather. Percy seems to only have one real friend, Grover who is scrawny and “on top of all that, he is crippled”. He does not associate with other kids as he feels he does not belong with them. The reason he is in trouble at home and school could be that others don’t recognize and realize him as well as he does not understand his place. This is what the reader would classify as Percy’s ordinary world. From this point on, the story will further develop into the next stage call to adventure as the ordinary world seems to be a place the he despises.
The first significant relationship presented in the novel is that between PS and his Aunt Lila and Uncle George. PS sees himself solely as Lila and George’s child and this perception that he has on himself directly influences the nature of his relationship with them. Being a six year old child yet to develop his own personal sense of identity, PS trusts implicitly in Lila and George and believes, in his innocent naive way, that they will always do what is best for him. This is not so much carelessness on PS’s part, as an ignorance of any other type of upbringing and love than that administered to him by Lila and George. His unawareness of the outside world and any other style of life but his own causes the power of their relationship to be solely in the hands of Lila.
Percy and his friends are in many different settings in the stories, all having their similarities and differences. The one that stands out to me is the Labyrinth. Percy spends the most time in the Labyrinth than any other setting. Also, this one is completely the opposite of the other two settings. In the text it says “We made it a hundred feet before we were hopelessly lost.” (Riordan, 94). This states how they’ve only been walking for a little bit until they were lost. This represents how confusing the labyrinth is. Then, the setting is Camp Half Blood. This is the place where Percy trains for his upcoming battles or events. In Chapter 13, page 226, Percy arrives back at camp, and he is welcomed by familiar faces. This explains how relieving

Percy Jackson is the main character in this story, who is a demi god, who mortals are after. His name is short for Perseus and his father is one of the big three gods, Poseidon. He is suffering from dyslexia and ADHD, which could be deliberately added to the character by Riordan, to show he is meant to be a hero, and not to do well in school. This shows that school is not what he is good at, and he is destined to be a hero and save people. The character Grover, who plays Percy’s best friend, parallels a Satyr who is human from the waist up and goat from the waist down and is a companion of wine God, Dionysus, who we later learn, is the camp director for Half-Blood Camp.

As he is standing in front of the characters who are at his side, it can be determined of that he is leading them through the area in this scene, before the hydra appears to attack all three characters. To his left is the deuteragonist, Annabeth, and to the right of Percy is Grover, his sidekick. As Grover is supposed to be Percy’s “protector” in both narratives, he is meant to be watching over and protecting Percy. I feel that this is accomplished by his decision to accompany Percy on his journey. In the film, a rivalry between Percy and Annabeth is formed shortly after Percy arrived at Camp Half-Blood, which is eventually resolved before the quest is given. During this journey, Percy and Annabeth begin to bond over their similar circumstances as being demi-gods, talking about the rivalry between their parents, and expressing their wishes of being able to meet their Olympian parents, who were forbidden by Zeus from contacting their demigod children. As they begin to bond Percy and Annabeth grow close and soon develop a relationship. The focal character throughout the film is Percy Jackson. The story follows his path as well as his determination in finding his mother. Willing to, literally, go to hell and back in order to secure her safety. The ways in which he approaches these problems is in a linear fashion, systematically, completing one task at a time in order to accomplish his goal. Having read the book as a child, I feel as though key, character developing movements were ignored, and that the move portrayal of Percy was bland. The movie itself takes on a narrative structure throughout the film, which contains a plot, theme and resolution. The setup or the beginning of the movie is where all of the main characters and the awareness of basic situations are introduced. Examples are such as Percy trying to find his mother along with the controversy between Poseidon and Zeus. The setup, at a primary level explores the character's backgrounds and personalities. The awareness of a conflict is also introduced, which is what initiates the story in the first place.
