Panama is country in between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Panama is a fairly small country though, it’s almost as big as some states in America. Panama is near Columbia in Central America. Panama is probably most famous for the canal straight through its center. It’s also very famous for all of its beach since Panama is basically covered in water on all sides. Panama also has a very warm climate, do to how close it is to the equator. Which would make times at the beach even better. Panama would definitely be on my top 10 places to visit because of the beach, and warm climates.

Panama was founded in 1501. Rodrigo de Bastida founded Panama for the Spanish. Panamas first ever president was Manuel Amador Guerrero. Each president in Panama is appointed to a five year term in office. A citizen in Panama must be 18 years old and older to vote just like in America.

Panama has the same branches of government as America. The branches of government are as listed judicial, legislative, and executive. Judicial, Panama's Supreme Court has 9 members who are all appointed by the president. The Supreme Court is Panamas highest court, it appeals from lower courts. Legislative, each member of the legislative branch is chosen by vote. Executive, Panama has a number of political groups and Politian's. Most political parties included Democrats Revolutionary, and the Panamenista party.

Panama has a number of governors for each of Panamas providences. Each of the governors are appointed by the president. Panama is divided into ten providences and three districts. Most of the providences are subdivided into multiple districts.
