Football, soccer, tennis, or track usually comes into the mind of people when they usually think about sports, but there exist certain requirements on makes a sport. Generally, people understand the idea of a sport, but in a more limited scope, usually thinking about a “sport” through what they see everyday, especially in a major sports network, ESPN or any channels devoted to mainstream sporting events. There exist a general idea of what makes a “sport”, thus there should be standards by which paintball is determine to be a sport. Another sport also faced a similar history to paintball which is American Football, which originated in 1869 by two universities, Princeton and Brunswick in a friendly competition with rugby rules. Anyone born in America grew up under the game of football and even those people who do not play football know what the sport looks like. Football popularity continue to grow even if nearly 150 years has passed, people continue to remain entranced with the game. The main purpose for the equipment is to maximize the protection from being hit by paintball pellets and comfort in any environment, and purchasing your own equipment feels rewarding because the guns provided at the location may be insufficient in shooting pellets or may malfunction during the game, thus ruining the experience. There are tactics used in the game of paintball with flanking a group from the side or rear, ambushing a group of unsuspecting paintballers, providing suppressing fire, and standing post.
