What makes an ordered society? Although many, many things contribute to this I'm going to discuss three different topics that I find to be the most important in shaping order in a society. The three I find most important are religion, government, and village and family life. These factors contribute greatly to the stability of order. The one I find to be the biggest contributor is religion, which helps shape the way people act and behave. Most religions are very structured and timely and precise and people can be very committed to them, therefor devoting much time to. Government is also a very important contributor, it shows how the people act toward one another, their justice system, the way they view things, etc. Government is not to be taken …show more content…

This contribution also heavily influences the order in a society, this is what the people see as right and wrong, laws to obey, elders to look up to, etc. Government is far from just the people in authority and laws to follow; it’s about socialization, trade, exchange, interactions with other countries, contradiction of what was thought to be right, justice, positions, jobs, skills, and so much more. In the 21st India there was a caste system in which created a “stable social order” (Document D). This system “dictated status and occupation” (Document D) and was not equal to all people but to only some of which are part of a higher class and social rank. There are many disadvantage for the ones who are on the lower end of the rank like less nutrition accessibility, lower education, and fewer relations or contacts to essential “social institutions” (Document D). This system of India is part of their government. It shows what they are like and how they want things to be and go according to. Their government is influencing their order by making things go a certain way. This government is making it where there are advantages for the high classes and not very many for the lower class. Making it almost impossible for someone to get themselves out of the lower class and move up into the higher class. There was also a system in Aryan society like this one but very different. This system also had …show more content…

This factor like the others is also of huge impact. This when it comes down to it is what really impacts the order in a society the most heavily. This outweighs the others who cannot be compared to family/village life. Family and village life is someone’s home life parents, spouse, children, siblings, outer family, friends, neighbors, etc. which is what holds everything together in a society. Family is the tie to order in society it keeps the families together which keeps neighbors together which keeps villages together which keeps everybody together. The discipline in a family creates rules, customs, and traditions which brings order. Confucius had taught of things on family and discipline and different relationships and their meaning. He taught on five relationships “unequal, except for friendships” (Document A). which was “a subject to his ruler, a child to his parents, a wife to her husband, and younger brothers to elder brothers”. He thought very highly of these relationships and that by people accepting their roles would live in peace and be doing their responsibility. By families following this teaching and others by Confucius they have order. They are following rules and customs and do it on a daily basis and try their best to live by it which has them doing things each day, things go accordingly which is
