My Selection is Oprah Winfrey. She is a strong, ambitious, and great woman. She has had multiple obstacles in her path and she never allowed giving up because of those obstacles. She made sure she went and achieved each and every goal she had. I admire how she lives to help others that are in need. She gives those that do not have the strength or voice to speak up. Ms. Winfrey gives me the passion I have to achieve my very own goals.
Just like any other individual, Oprah Winfrey had many problems of her own. Relatives and family friends molested Oprah. After the tragedies, Oprah’s childhood began going downhill. She has made sure to do all she can to help better the educational system. She has a public charity, “Oprah’s Angel Network” that helps educational and community businesses. She has also opened a school for girls in South Africa “The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls”. She has helped tons of charities that benefit education. Oprah’s experience gives me a lot of inspiration for my own success. She has dealt with many of the same problems I endeavored. She still managed to get over those bridges and achieve her goals. That there gives me the motivation to overcome any issues I may come across. No matter what problem she came across she did not allow them to let her give up. Therefore, I refuse to allow any of my failures or disadvantages to overpower my decision to succeed. Until this week I have never knew as much as I do today about Oprah Winfrey. I did not know how helpful she truly is to those amongst her. I admire her for being so helpful and caring. She came from nothing and wanted to do nothing but give back to everyone. She has gave me the motivation to go out and do my very best to do what it is that I truly want. To not care about what others see me for, but to accept myself.
