In the story Animal Farm the author George Orwell develops a profound message and theme. The message and theme that the author developed was that power can lead to both oppression and corruption. This message and theme was strengthened within many aspects from the story. For instance, in the story the animals banished Mr.Jones (the farm owner) away from controlling the farm. Therefore, the animals had to learn how to take care of themselves and adapt to the new way of life. One of the characters, Napoleon, took leadership and put himself in full power over every other animal. This lead to both oppression and corruption within all of Animal Farm due to how many of the animals were treated unfairly and strongly were against their new way of life.
