Another thing that was revealed during the trial was how O.J. abused Nicole during their marriage and when they separated. During the trial state prosecutor Marcia Clark brought up how the abuse allegations against O.J. were never really investigated (Flynn). O.J. got away with beating Nicole Brown Simpson, and he would deny ever hitting Nicole (Flynn). However, there was plenty of evidence that showed otherwise, like Nicole’s journals, pictures and statements to her friends (Flynn). On the 1st of January in 1989, Nicole Brown Simpson was hit so hard by her husband, O.J. Simpson, that she ended up in the hospital. When she arrived at the hospital she was screaming, “He’s [O.J. The people who believe that O.J. was innocent also said that a man who loved their family as much as O.J. did wasn’t able to commit the horrific murders (Birnkworth). The day of the car chase O.J. left a note saying that he loved Nicole Brown Simpson and that he did not kill her (Birnkworth). Some stated how it was impossible that O.J. was the killer because he only walked away with a cut on his left hand (Birnkworth). Anyone who would’ve fought Ronald Goldman would’ve walked away with more injuries. Allegations of domestic abuse were a “waste of time,” according to a jury member (Flynn).
