Introduction Occupational therapy according to Creek and Lougher, (2008) is regarded as a process due to the fact that intervention and improvement take place over time. However, due to the complexity of the process, occupational therapists and patients establish a mutual relationship in order to analyse issues and goals systematically with regards to the task demands and performance perspective. Hence, this report aim to give a reflection on how one taught elements of the module prepares me for professional practice. The report will reflect on OT process as one concept by adopting the Gibbs reflective model as a tool to examine a completed model because it suggests action (Jasper, 2013). This will enable me to give description of an event and the associated feelings whilst evaluating the pros and cons of the experience so as to help me in my future professional practice. Similarly, the British Association of Occupational Therapists (2007) enlightens that reflective practice is essential to continuing professional development. In this case utilising models such as the Gibbs model of reflective thinking ensures our reflections are consequential to our Continuing professional development (Armitage et al., 2012).
