Professor and Classmates- Here is my executive summary, I chose to write about; The Impact on Emerging technology on nursing care: Warp Speed Ahead., by Carol Huston, MSN, DPA, FAAN, The Online Journal of issues in Nursing. The audience that I'm that trying to reach is the nursing community, I chose this audience because this is what my career field will be in. However, in this document I feel as I addressed what my audience needs to know on the subject at hand, that I addressed information about the impact of technology on nursing care and training that should be taught in technology to make sure that nurses know how to use the technology . I hope to have written an informed and acceptable executive summary.

Robotics is growing due to an aging population and lack of nurses and a call for higher quality care. Huston,C ( 2013). Biometric signatures are already all over healthcare organizations, they provide the needed security for medical records. Clinical decision support will likely be commom place within a decade. As nurses we have to have the ability to use technology, training and understanding in all these fields will help us better function as an health care team. Huston, C (2013) We have to educate ourselves to stay up to date on all of the new technology,how to use it to the best of our ability, to make a more productive workplace and less stress on us nursesand patients. In a profession where knowledge is key learning the new advancement in technology will help us better to provide adiquite care to our patients in the most professional manner possible. Nurse leaders must begin thinking now about emerging technologies and how they will change the practice of nursing and most importantly that the human element does not get lost in technology.
