Rutgers University is a cultural diversed university in an urban area. The university has three campuses, Newark, New Brunswick and Camden. The curriculum design of the program in the field of nursing can lead to BSN, Masters, Post Masters, and Doctoral degree. The program-structured length is a four-year program for the undergraduate BSN. The studies are divided into sections that will coincide with the level of the nursing student program once accepted and enrolled. The student must also achieve a C or better in order for the credits to be applied to the prerequisites courses. The model of overall organization is considered articulated into the other programs. The masters, postmasters, doctoral program curriculum require courses that are in the undergraduate program. The generic baccalaureate program credits must total 126. The fall and spring secessions carry approximately 16 credits each semester. The curriculum for each semester is combined with electives and nursing courses. The first year student courses are academically filled with electives and are introduced to human studies. The schedule is comprised of English, humanities, cultural studies and anatomy & physiology totaling approximately 33 credits the first year. During the second year the students course load increases with the intense focused on chemistry/biology and the six credits of nursing, the total sophomore credits in this semester is 32. The third year student will be introduced to the nursing aspect of the plan of studies. The student will have hands on experience with patient care. After completing the junior year, the student will receive 31 credits with all centered around nursing. The fourth year of the students academically studies are combining all courses clinical experiences and studies together. The final 30 credits will be applied to the balance and the total requirements of credits will be met of 126 credit, in the four levels of the nursing
