Nurses and doctors are educated separately, yet nurses and doctors are expected to know how to collaborate effectively towards improving patient outcomes. This is a descriptive cross-sectional study to determine the nurses’ perception and attitude toward nurse-doctor relationship in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (UKMMC). Nurses’ perception onto the overall significance of nurse-doctor relationship at hospital is satisfied resulted 81.5% (n=119). At the same time, collaboration which played an important role as a relationship between this both professions involved (Sayed& Sleem 2011). However, doctors and nurses have a complicated relationship over the year, which were affected by social status, gender, power and perspectives 9. In addition, the power between nurses and doctors affected toward nurse-doctor relationship throughout 1970-1980s (McKay & Narasimhan (2012). Studies suggest that there is a serious need to promote positive changes toward inter professional collaboration between doctors and nurses improve patient outcomes and increase nurses’ job satisfaction2,3,4(Bartholomew 2008).. The revolution on nurse-doctor relationship was bringing the gap between both professions. In awkward situation, nurses are label with insufficient in knowledge and unable to critical thinking an involvement in decision making12(Aghamolaei et al. 2012).. However, Johnson (2012) reported that communication failed is one of the reason between nurses and doctor which is affect patient care. Nurses and doctors role is to deliver their services toward community, to make some collaboration, communication is important to exchange the information. Good communication will prevents from misunderstanding, conflicts and mistakes between nurses and doctors. Automatically, quality of care is harmless. In addition, positive relationship between nurses and doctors must be continuously constant in clinical setting. Di Giulio et al. (2013) stated that both of this profession has a low commitment and passions in working area were often afflicted by busy conditions. This situation will contribute become stressed with a clinical workloads. Moreover, some courses are important which involving nurse and doctor to create a good collaboration and communication to encourage their relationship become success especially amongst the junior nurses who are lack in experience, at least they have knowledge to manage the next hurdle (Clarke et al.
