It has come to my attention that the functionality of my computer system is quite limited for the company’s day-to-day actions. It gives me great honor to propose, a new set of systems that will replace the dated systems that I currently use to complete my job. I am confident that these machines will allow me to think of new creative, ideas that will create new innovative marketing strategies for the company. The two systems I have chosen to replace my old computers are the HP All-in-One Computer ProOne 400 G3 and ASUS ZenBook 14” Laptop. My report is on the company Hewlett – Packard (HP) which was founded in 1939. I mainly focused on the Personal Systems Group (PSG): business and consumers PCs mobile computing devices and workstations which is one of the major industries of HP. In order to succeed in the business industry a company needs to understand its customer’s needs and create wants for them. HP found out that the customer needed light weight, useful notebook PCs through its Research & Development (R&D) centre. Hence, it created a want; a New Commercial Notebook PC Compaq Evo Notebook N1015v which packs the power and performance necessary for mobility into a stylish design for only $899(US $). HP also finds out about its customer needs through online feedback forms and survey. Via that, HP was also able to understand that not everyone are able to use their products hence it has created this HP accessibility products which can be accessed by anyone including people with disabilities and age – limitations. In conclusion, we do believe that by placing emphasis on a marketing plan that better educates the consumer of the advantages of owning a Sony, the VAIO PC will continue to see a jump in sales. The consumer still trusts Sony because of its brand name and image. Now they just need to see that there money is buying them a machine that will not only serve its purpose, but will be sleek and portable in the process while also staying very competitive in price. We at Four Amigos Consulting believe that Sony’s next step needs to be researching into its current marketing plan to make sure that it is properly educating consumers. It is the belief of this firm that if certain advertising campaigns were developed, Sony could quickly emerge as one of the top contenders in the industry.

These two companies are Apple with their Mac and Microsoft with their Windows PC.
