What is Empathy?
 Empathy the feeling that you understand and share another person’s experiences and emotions. The ability to share someone’s pain.

2. Can you state what the problem is in this scenario?
 The problem in this scenario is that Wilson did not apply the empathy towards his work and teammate that’s why even though his working very hard no one can recognize his effort.

Differentiate empathy from sympathy (provide an example).
 Empathy is being pity and willing to help the person because you know or you experience the situation while sympathy is being pity just because you see that person is pitiful without knowing or experiencing the situation. 7. Do you think similar experiences occur in real life? If yes, cite an example.
 Yes it occurs in real life for example in work when the manager have empathy to the people he/she handling that can motivate them to work harder so that they will achieve the promotion they want.

8. Do you think empathy is a critical aspect of social competence? Why of why not?
 Empathy is not a critical aspect of social competence because it is nature to us people to be pitiful and helpful towards one another specially the people who are in needs.

9. Is there a connection between a person’s social competence and his/her leadership capacity? Explain your answer.
 Yes, because one of the factor of being an effective leader is listening. As a leader you should know how to listen to the opinion of your member and be open minded to all the possible outcome of your decision and the decision of each of your member.  He will be promoted earlier than he expected and he will be effective when it comes to work and in his teammate.

12. What other ways can you think of in order to help an acquaintance, friend, teammate develop and apply empathy?
 Explain to him/her or rather show that it’s not good that you only mind yourself it is better if you also mind the people around you especially those who in needs. There are a lot of people who are just waiting for your hands to help just open your eyes and mind and reach out to them and eventually you will feel happy and contented about life.

13. If you were Wilson’s manager, how would you deal with similar agents?
 Just like what Wilson’s manager do to him. I will advice and give him/her some tips on how to make his/her work be better and point out some unnecessary things that may not good in his/her performance in work so that the promotion that they want will come immediately.
14. Do you think that not learning or knowing about empathy is a bad thing?
 Not learning or knowing about empathy is not a bad thing at all although it is better to apply and practice empathy in our daily lives because
