“The scientists of today think deeply instead of clearly. One must be sane to think clearly, but one can think deeply and be quite insane”. Nikola Tesla is considered to be one of the greatest pioneers of electrical engineering. His legacy marked a revolution of modern technology. Nikola Tesla was born on July 10th, 1856 in Smiljan, Croatia. He was raised up by Serbian parents. His father, Milutin Tesla was an Eastern Orthodox priest and mother, Buka Tesla had a talent for making home craft tools. As a kid, Nikola was fascinated by the waves of Niagara Falls. He pictured a rotating wheel running the falls. He told his uncle that he was going to go to America and carry out that plan. While practicing for the seminary, Tesla contracted cholera. Bedridden at 17, his father promised him that he would go to one of the best technology schools for engineering. At the age of 21, Nikola traveled to Graz, Austria to go to school. While at school he becomes obsessed with electricity. In 1880, Nikola moved to Budapest to find employment in a central telegraph office. On June 6th, 1884 Tesla arrives to New York.
