The plane touched down smoothly in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I never realized until today, I missed Pakistan terribly. It is the complete opposite of Canada, yet I loved it there. Life there is extremely different from here, the smell of the pollution and garbage, loud noises from the cars and people, and the lively news, all of which I miss dreadfully, but mostly I miss my family. When I went there, it seemed as though everything was in the right place. Before I went home to Pakistan everything was fine, until today. After experiencing being home after several years, it is extremely difficult to alter back to my life here in Halifax. Compared to my home country, it is different here. In Pakistan, we can all be together, like a complete family – my parents, my cousins, my aunts, my uncles, my grandmother, and my friends. There are a lot of great memories I left there when I was younger. Great memories I spent with my family that I’ll cherish forever wherever I am.
