Throughout history there has always been competition. This competition has many times helped advance human society, for example the space race where we sent men to the moon, countries trying to get the best tech which improves the quality of life for many people, or company's competition to get the most money but having the best product. Competition has been with us for as long as humans existed and is a part of everyday life for everyone around the globe. Even our economy is based on competition. I believe competition is good for students. Competition is good because it makes students try their best to do better than everyone else. They will see what they're good as by comparing themselves to everyone else and see what they do better than the rest. This is beneficial because if they see what they're good at if they enjoy it, they can learn more about it and become even better at the job which will put them ahead of everyone else. As well as learning what they're good at students will improve their skills more in a competitive environment because there is more incentive. The students will also be able to help others interested in that skill because they themselves are skillful in their field and will be able to teach them better because of their close age. If the students know what they're interested in and enjoy. Than they will know what is not needed for their field, so they can spend less time on those skills and activities and more on what they're good and interested in so they can become more skilled. Another, benefit this will have will be students increase of there want to learn, Because it's something they're interested in. Competition is everywhere in the real world and if you have students use to competition then it will a lot easier getting a job and living a normal life than it would be if you didn't get them use to competition. A survey done in 2016 showed that students from non-competitive schools had a 82% harder time adjusting to adult life, than students from competitive schools. A benefit of students adjusting to adult life faster won't only help them with their lives, it will also help advance society if there working hard at a young age. The reason for this is that if they start working hard young in their fields than they will have more time to develop these fields further and help advance society. With younger people trying to invent and discover new things we could have a Renaissance of ideas and advancement. Also if they start studying and working on a project at a young age, we could discover things that would be impossible before, because they would take more time than the people had left to live. If, this does not even happen if more young people got interested in discovery or invention. We could possibly discover things we would have never have dreamed of.
