Technology is making individuals less interested in socializing and more isolated by keeping them addicted to technology, and distracted from what has significant meaning in their lives,

Technology was designed to empower people, to set them free, and to leave them satisfied, but people often feel stressed due to the use of technology. Opposing views claim that “One of the more attractive goals to be achieved by introducing information and communication technologies is to make our lives easier by providing faster communications around the globe, efficacy in work processes, and so on.” (salanova, 2013). In other words, technology does not affect individuals in any society rather than makes people’s lives easier and simpler. It may be true that communications technology makes our lives easier, but it is more than possible that individuals can be stressed or distracted by technology “with cell phones chirping and playing music, wireless devices vibrating, and emails signaling their arrival at the computer’s inbox” (Allegra, 2013). It has been scientifically proved that people with discomfort and stress of technology suffer from technostress that is a type of stress “resulting from the high speed at which technological change takes place” in a person’s daily routine (Salanova). Studies showed that this type of stress causes psychological, and physical problems (backaches, pain neck, eye strain, etc.) on individuals when they feel that their environment has been altered, and they cannot adapt to it (Salanova).
