In the two texts, “Why We Need Bees: Nature's Tiny Workers Put Food on Our Table,” and “Hum”, the authors explain how much we need bees. Based on both author’s opinions, bees are a very important factor in getting food on our tables. In the Article, the Author said “More than $15 billion a year in U.S. crops are pollinated by Bees. The author of the poem responds by saying “Stopped in the very cups of flowers.” They both have the same idea of bees pollinating. In the article, she also says that bees fertilize the crops that we need to grow. Another example of symmetry in the two texts is when the poem says “So much flying about, to the hive, then out into the world, then back.” The article says “These hard-working insects…” Both texts
