What made Native American peoples vulnerable to conquest by European adventurers? During voyages across the oceans in route to discover the Americas, Europeans came across some people that we now call natives. The Natives were easily conquered by the European explorers because they were very vulnerable. The natives were vulnerable because they lacked knowledge, most of their people were dying due to disease, and they had an effect on the slave trade.
