When I was a little girl I remember telling my family that I knew exactly what I wanted to be when I grew up and being the supportive family they were, told me all I had to do was wish hard enough and it would happen. So, I wished and wished for months like every good little girl, only to find out from my older brother, that mermaids didn’t exist. I was crushed because I was convinced, this was my calling in life and my parents told me it would happen. My brother and I didn’t get along with them until we got older and found out life wasn’t just about us and what we wanted. They just celebrated 21 years of marriage and my father has become such a wonderful man with her help, which is something I will always be thankful for. Everything in my past has lead me to where I am now. I am a divorced mother of two amazing children. My family is crazy but without them I wouldn’t be the person I am today. I have experienced a lot in my 30 years and I have learned from their mistakes and mine. My values in life have come from my parents and what I have learned along the way. I know that in life you need to be determined, honest, and an all-around good person.
