The short film by Naomi Klein and Avi Lewis’s 2015 film, “This Changes Everything”, talks about bringing change among the climate change and we need to start acting. The film focuses mainly on capitalism vs climate. The film takes us on a journey throughout the world, but mainly concentrate on Alberta-Canada, Halkidhiki – Greece, India, Beijing China, Washington – DC, and Germany. The film shows what can happens when the capitalism address the serious issues on climate change and how they hand the situation. It shows us how capitalism has the upper hand over the people for environment issues. In a way, the government can’t do anything because they are being spit in two. This is a case where they can’t help nature, but they are helping people’s economic situation. In other word, peoples believe that the government has stated to fail and the started to action. Action they took caused harm towards themselves because them protesting had the government to act fast and then violence was used. If people hadn’t acted more harm would have caused more harm to the environment. in the article by Klein- This Changes Everything states that all the harm caused to the environment will have Consequences. For example, “greenhouse gas emission, temperature increase and effect such as sea level rises – will happen incrementally (Klein, par 1)”. The only country that successful in using Renewable energy is Germany and they were successful because of democracy system. They could work with the government and agree on terms. This helped Germany to increase their employment and with renewable energy is helping the environment, without causing harm to environment.
