Day after day, I work at Home Depot. I’ve worked at Home Depot for 6 months. My position there is a cashier. A few months have gone by and all I do is show up and do my job as a cashier. The cashiers have someone who runs the front end along with every register in the store, and that person is a head ashier. After what I see the head cashiers go through, I would never want to be a head cashier for the rest of my life.
Nursing is a profession that has always been in sight for me since I was four years-old and I fractured my elbow. I was playing with one of my friends who was also my neighbor. We were playing with a big pink, round, rubber ball. I remember thinking that it would be amusing to try and hug the ball and roll on the ground. Of course since I was only four at the time, I did not think to check my surroundings to make sure that it was a safe environment to be doing such an act. Once I finished my roll I slammed my elbow on a rock that was peeking through the top of the grass. I immediately shrieked out in pain and then had to go to the hospital. Throughout the whole experience I only remember one part of the hospital, the nurse. From the moment that she starting taking care of me in my room, when I was getting casted, to my discharge from the hospital she did nothing but provide high quality care while also making sure that I felt comfortable and relaxed the whole time. At that moment I told my mother that I wanted to be a nurse and that nothing else was going to persuade my decision.

Trucking is a way of transportation needed to keep business going. Trucking has been a part of my family for years so I fell in love with trucks now I won’t to drive my own. On February 14, 2018 at the Hollidaysburg Area Jr. High school located in Pennsylvania, a Career Fair took place. What is a career fair? A career fair is when people with different careers/career pathways explain information about their career to students so they can begin planning what they want to do. Some of the speakers that presented were from science, communication, and business pathways and all had interesting explanations however, the most interesting was the Human Services career pathway.
Then came my first challenge: working for a hospice. Here is where I learned harsh realities that no schooling could prepare me for. The hospice was difficult for me, at first. It was hard to speak with patients suffering from memory loss, dementia, anxiety, depression, or other disordes. It was hard to experience death on a regular basis; the death of patients that I interacted with and started to befriend. I had to learn to keep a fixed, professional demeanor to mask my sorrows (for my displays of sadness could affect the other patients). I had to foster a personal, caring commttment toward the patients—without becoming too personally attached, myself.
The region of Maghreb, situated along the north-west African coast, has been an Arab-dominated area for more than a thousand years. Today’s Maghreb consists of five countries: Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, and Tunisia. Most of the indigenous population regard themselves as Arabs, though there are also many non-Arabs, too. Those include the Berbers, who also regard the Maghreb as their homeland. The region’s language is predominantly Arabic, but to better facilitate international trade and business activities, major languages such as English French, and Italian are also spoken in some Maghreb countries. Religion is overwhelmingly Muslim, with only the smallest percentage being those of the Christian and Jewish faiths. The political systems of the countries are similar. Algeria, Mauritania, Tunisia, Libya all have presidents, while Morocco has a king. Following the Arab Spring, the transformation of power has changed Tunisia and Libya. Also, the king of Morocco pointed to a new constitution and a reduction of his power by elected government. The Mauritania military au...

The Senior Experience was an excellent project to prepare me for the challenges common in college and the real world. One obstacle I faced was creating an appointment with the Lexington County Sheriffs Department. It was difficult waiting on the police department to contact me back, while deadlines for when I needed job shadowing forums steadily approached. Along with that, I had difficulties managing my time, because as a Student Athletic Training Aid I had to stay late after school everyday. I overcame this by finding work I could do in the baseball dugout and working over the weekend. On the other hand, Ms. Capers and I worked well together. We had the same ILT and could meet whenever needed. The only problem was that I chose a teacher that had not been an advisor before, luckily I was able to explain what her role was well enough.
I am applying for the SEMA Scholarship for some financial assistance in my road to making a mark in the automotive industry. My education at McPherson is unique. I am pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Automotive Restoration, which is only offered at McPherson College. But, unlike most students here, I added a little, personal twist to my studies by adding a communications based path to my major alongside a minor in business management. As a student at McPherson College, I have learned how to become a leader in my surroundings. I took on a position as an Resident Assistant, through my job as an RA I have grown skills in creativity, teamwork, and leadership. I see myself as a willing person in all the areas I am involved in. I am always willing to learn, willing to help, and

Social responsibility is the act of being concerned and sensitive of the impact your actions have on the economy. As technology changes and employment becomes more dependent on the use of technology, there is a responsibility to provide a normal working man with accessibility to acquire the proper knowledge, skills, and qualifications to remain employed in an ever-changing society. Technology’s main purpose in today’s society is to help meet the demands of society without causing hardship for its users. Democratic technology is the process of technology becoming more available to the citizens. It has been said through the years that technology, or machines, have appeared to be replacing people in the workplace because it works more efficiently or faster than the actual employee does. Technology was never meant to make humans effort, on their job, seem unworthy or actually take their job. New technology only contribute to unemployment when it requires skills that workers don’t have [1]. Just because machines take over some human tasks, that does not mean the end of jobs.
I am a very hard working individual and I like to make sure that whatever I am doing whether it’s doing a mass move in ts or, something as simple as replying in game, I will make sure it gets done. Just about anything you do, putting effort into it no matter the job is, is very important. If you have a lack of effort it means you will not get the job done correctly as you don't really care about it. I have learned through being staff for a while that punishments is not everything. How well you do and what you achieve on a staff team is all down to the amount of work and effort you put in and I feel the work I will put in will reflect what I get back from it. I intend to put in a lot of work and effort as I am passionate about staffing as that's all I enjoy doing in Minecraft.
In every work place you will find employees who are happy with what they do and employees who are just there to complain and collect a paycheck. My topic for this discussion will cover job dissatisfaction.
