Delving into Personality: A DISC Assessment Reflection

For starters, these assessments were more in depth than any other personality quiz I’ve ever taken. I appreciated how they covered such a wide array of one’s personality and though most of what they told me reaffirmed things I previously knew about myself, I learned a lot about how these personality traits impact my social and professional life.
The “D” section of DISC covers decisiveness. I scored above average here in both
Natural and Adaptive categories. Most of the traits presented here were things I was already relatively aware of, such as my tendency to somewhat “push the envelope” and how I tend to work better without a lot of supervision. Work environments are always changing in some form or other and I need to be more flexible sometimes.
According to the Jung personality assessment, I have the INTP (introverted, intuitive, thinking, perceiving) personality type. INTPs are easy-going as well as quick to correct someone or something, which correlates with what the DISC assessment said in the Decisiveness category

about how my personality type is assertive without being pushy. I wholeheartedly agree with this. Sometimes I’m a little too quick to let someone know they’re wrong, but then I revert back and don’t try to push my point across.
All of these particular traits indicate styles of leadership qualities. For example, my patience with people will help me understand different tactics and ideas. My willingness to prepare will assist me to give quick and precise answers to questions people may have and my ability to give explicit instructions will ensure my team members know exactly what is needed to complete a task.
