Lindenwood University was a new challenge in my life. It is an American University that helped me get prepared to become a professional in the Communication field. Living in a new environment is challenging, because I am far away from my family and accomplishing many barriers along the beautiful journey I will overcome. Overall, my experience at Lindenwood University has been stressful because of many barriers such as language, money, feeling homesick and transportation. In the hope that, I was going to be a professional in the future by studying at Lindenwood University I decided to accept this new opportunity that will bring good fruit in my life. Having a new experience in a new country can be sometimes overwhelming like dealing with common issues like language barriers, culture shock, adaption, gradual adjustment, being homesick, and being a college student with a scholarship is a big challenge. In my personal life, I have participated in many clubs, organizations, campus events, and educational projects that had built me in a professional. In a social way, and personal problems have helped be able to turn this into the funniest experience ever. My personal experience at Lindenwood University has been a huge success. The biggest obstacle to overcome is missing out in many of the important moments in my family such as: weddings, funerals, new born, birthdays, and even holidays. I realize that even though I missed them it is worth the sacrifice. These big decisions will make me stronger mentally and physically. Accomplishing my dream to study in an American University with a good prestigious such as Lindenwood University has helped me valued life. More importantly, studying abroad means breaking all the shackles by experiencing challenges never imagined before.
