Everyone has been through a personal experience whether it has changed their lives for better or worse. These experiences can be ecstatic events such as going out to explore the world or even devastating events such as tragic accidents. My personal experience occurred a year ago during the summer when I took a trip to visit San Francisco, California with my family. This trip to San Francisco was a thrilling adventure due to the city being very beautiful and breath taking. My family and I were able to cross the famous bridge a few times in the car as we traveled a bit around California. The view from the bridge was beautiful during the day and as well as the night. It was nice during the day to see the sun sparkling on the water as boats sailed by but appealing during nightfall because of the bright lights on the bridge. Also, the city lights around it brought out the overall awe of the bridge. During one of our passing of the bridge we were able to make a quick stop at the top of the hill and take a few family pictures together with the bridge. My brother would tease me every time anyone brings up our visit to the Golden Gate Bridge because I was afraid to stand near the edge of the mountain to take our family photos since I imagined I was going to slip and fall. Furthermore, as we traveled through the bridge I had noticed telephone posts on either side of the bridge. These telephones were for the suicidal people who thought it was time to end their lives. The telephones were used to connect those who were suicidal to a counselor to help talk them out from committing such a tragedy. They may have helped saved plenty lives. Most people experience dramatic events that demonstrate to them just how fragile life is. Beautiful white sand coming from Santa Monica, Long Beach and Big Sur. All types of people from the state of California to people from Florida enjoy California beaches. Choosing a vacation destination can be difficult. When deciding a destination there are many things to consider. Because of my husband has family in San Francisco; therefore, I visited there quite often. San Francisco is similar to Vancouver, Canada; a place that I lived for almost twenty years. It is remarkably attractive that the city is close to the ocean. Nonetheless, that is one of the primary cause the city is extremely vulnerable.
When we awoke the next morning, we got dressed and left the hotel headed towards Six Flags over Houston. My grandfather had bought us some coupons for the entrance fee so it would not cost as much. When we arrived, the air seemed very oppressive. The mood had already set itself to a very depressing day. We walked to the entrance and we found out that the coupons were no good. That did not stop us our parents paid the normal cost. We were finally at Six Flags.

Driving to a new place, I embraced the surrounding that I was witnessing for the first one. When I got out of the car the gravel crunched under my feet. My family and I walk up a long, skinny board walk approaching the front entrance. As I looked out the front windows all I could see was the beautiful view of Lake Travis. Walking out I saw rows of tables that had umbrellas on top. There was multiple different levels that you could sit at all looking out at the same mesmerizing view. Looking out over the lake I felt a sense of home.
This journey taught me so much that I wouldn’t have ever imagined. I grew from this experience mentally and I saw my parents becoming closer and regaining that bond they held with one another. This event taught me to be more appreciative with all the little things I have and made me realize that life isn’t going to go the way you want it to; you have to fight for the path to lead you in the right direction. I was brought closer to both my parents and my brothers. This event started new beginnings for this family, a new start to get things right because when I found out I would be moving to San Diego, I never would have realized the struggles I went through; especially when I was a silent voice in the decision.
It was close to four o’clock in the morning and we were tired. We met up with my dad at the airport and grab us a taxi. As we leave, we drive by a desert that was completely surrounded with sand. Passing through we made it into the city, looking at the flashing lights and buildings that stood tall. It was too early to go out and explore, we needed our rest.
