Last year my parents had been planning a trip to Europe. We left Melbourne and our journey took us to Doha, Qatar, from there we arrived in Rome and made our way to my Mums town. We then went to my Dads town and then to Sorrento. We went back to my Mums town to have my confirmation and to continue we went to Nice, France. From Nice was Paris, we took a train trip to Germany and then to Austria. We continued our way back to Italy staying in Venice, Florence and then to our last place…Rome.
Firstly, we left Melbourne to make our way to Doha, Qatar. I was very anxious and nervous before boarding our plane, but once we arrived in Doha there was a sigh of relief. We stayed at a special lounge for 7 hours before re-boarding our connecting flight to Rome, Italy. Once we arrived in Rome we took a speed train to the main area of the airport. We collected our luggage and made our way to the “exit” doors , once the doors opened I could see some of our family waving frantically, to get our attention. We ran up to them to give them big hugs, for the very first time. We drove to my Mums region called “Abruzze” the car trip was about 1 hour and 45 minutes away from Rome. We stayed for a couple of weeks in my Mums town and fortunately for us my Grandma and Uncle were holidaying in Italy at the same time as my family and l. It was very exiting as they had also come over to celebrate my confirmation.
We then left mums town for now as we come back here again later. The next part of our journey takes us to my Dads town which was a 7 hour train trip from Rome down to Calabria. Once we arrived, that night we had dinner at a relative’s house. During our stay we spent a day in Sicily and we ate the best cannoli I have ever had. We also went t...

...ain” and I threw in lots of coins. We then went to lots of local markets and even some family from my mums town came to visit us and stay with us for a day. On our last day we woke up very early and I was so sad but I knew there was still a little more to go. Once we walked to the train station we took an airport bus to the airport and met up with some family from my mums town. Then the moment I was dreading to do…saying “goodbye”. Goodbye Europe.
To conclude, my holiday was the best ever! We visited my mums town and then to my dads town. We also had a trip to Sorrento. Then we went back to my mums town for my Confirmation. Then it was to Nice, France. To continue our holiday we went south to Paris, France. Then it was a train trip to Germany and a day trip to Austria, then back to Italy for Venice, Florence and our last city… Rome! Back to Melbourne, Austraila.
The journey back home was full of singing and celebrations of winning the tournament. Although it was the early afternoon that we arrived home, I was exhausted. The remainder of the day was spent telling everyone about the days gone past. Then life went back to normal.
From Italy they visited Germany and France. I, their eldest child, was born in Naples, and as an infant accompanied them in their rambles. I remained for several years their only child. Much as they were attached to each other, they seemed to draw inexhaustible stores of affection from a very mine of love to bestow them upon me. My mother’s tender caresses, and my father’s smile of benevolent pleasure while regarding me, are my first recollections. I was their plaything and their idol, and something better—their child, the innocent and helpless creature bestowed in them by Heaven, whom to bring up to good, and whose future lot fulfilled
As I opened my eyes, I saw a giant cruise ship in front of my eyes.It took two whole days but we finally reached Florida where we went Rock Gliding. It’s where you have to get past a giant, rocky maze. The winner gets to cans of ice cream.Though my sister won,we all shared the ice cream.Next stop, the Bahamas!!!In the bahamas we went parasailing up 700 ft above water level,it was so much fun.The boat driver even let us touch the smooth, light blue water with our feet. Finally, we ended with a relaxing dolphin swim on the soft, delicate beach of Jamaica.
It was time for us to leave and board the plane to America. I was very excited to get to America, I was also anxious to see my Dad who I haven’t seen in months. The flight was long, I can remember in the air was my first time feeling turbulence, whoa let me tell you it was a scary one it felt like the plane was about to crash. I was anxious for the plane to land. When we arrived we exited out the plane and head out to the train inside the airport in order to go to U.S. customs and border protection, to get our documents sorted out, so that we could enter the country.
One Sunday morning, early, I’d say around 5:00am or so I was laying in my bed sound asleep in my nice, cold, dark room all snuggled up in my blankets and about 8 pillows surrounding me. I was woken up by my mom and with a voice so soft but with a hint of excitement she says, “Sarah time to wake up, we have to be at the airport in an hour”. I moaned and groaned because I stayed awake most of the night just so excited about what the day had in store for me replaying situations in my head over and over again! Soon enough me and my mom are in her car driving to Kansas City to get on a plane to West Palm Beach, Florida. Our car is packed to the celling of all our bags filled with clothes, shoes, blankets, some kitchen ware, bathroom stuff and other essentials and that’s when it hit me, wow I’m leaving Kansas City. Or more like I’m leaving all my friends, family, my dog, and the house I grew up in for most my life. I took my last looks of Missouri and with every emotion running threw me I didn’t know if I was exited or scared or both to be moving to a different state!
The trip is over and it was amazing! I can’t believe how fun it was. I unpack my stuff from the inner surface of the van. I walk up my stone sidewalk and to my wooden front door. I wait for my parents to open it, and then I walk home and smell the familiar scent of my house.
My thanksgiving break was awesome! Here is how it started when I got down stairs from bed I smelt breakfast. When I ate breakfast I got dressed in nice pants and a shirt. Then I got on my belt with my 8 inch knife. Then we decided to load up the truck with food. Then we started are journey to my cousins house her name is Prarie. Then when we got there I hugged her and said hi.
Just this year for spring break I got the chance to go to Florida with my one of my good friends again just like last year. It was a lot more memorable this year only because we actually did things as in go places I haven’t been to or got to do. I also got to go visit my grandma and grandpa while I was down in Florida. My grandma and grandpa planned things for us to do which was pretty fun and cool. My grandma set up an airboat ride for me and I have never been on one of those before and I got the chance to, I was pretty darn excited to go on the airboat. I saw ten foot gator which was pretty cool, I enjoyed it very much. When I was also in Florida we went to Disney Universal Citywalk to go to this theater to see the Blue Men Group, now that
October 20, 2007, the day that I’m going to say goodbye to my hometown. I was born and raised in Philippines by my grandparents for sixteen years. It is heart-breaking to think that I will not see them anymore like how I used to. I was 16 years old, and it will be my first time to travel with my big brother in the airplane. Our trip from Philippines to Virginia is approximately about 18-20 hours. It is not a direct flight, so we have to change plane three times, and it is a long trip for us. I was crying the whole time when we were in the airplane. As soon as we reach our last destination which is the Washington D.C., we have no way of communicating with my mom and auntie because we have no cellphones. I was hesitant to
Today was my sister's birthday! We went to Animal Kingdom, Which had a really fun ride called The Legend Of The Forbidden Mountain, where you go up the coaster normally and drop backwards. I screamed really loud! After a while, we got lunch. We went to a restaurant in the park, where I had the best grilled cheese of my life. We spent a few more hours at the park and left at dinner time. That night, we had dinner at a really nice restaurant. I got steak and mashed potatoes and we left after eating for about an hour and went back to our resort. When we got back we went to our cousin's room and watched
I stood in the town square of the small village. Like any other normal day, people were going about their day-to-day business. Old men sat on a wooden bench beneath a large tree and predicted this year’s crop. Women shared town gossip as they shopped for groceries, and children sucked on lollipops while they played along the cobblestone streets. However, unlike any other day, the whole crowd had stopped in unison and darted their eyes in my direction, their full attention on me. I heard hushed whispers as I passed by the crowd, “Americano!” “Oh mio Dio, guarda com’è alto!” I lowered my head as I thought to myself, “What the hell am I doing here? I’m in a country where I don’t know the language or the culture, and I have another nine and a half months until I go home!” I didn’t know it then, but those nine and a half months that lay in front of me would be the experience that would challenge my views and goals and help shape the person I am today.

The trip to Asia was a chance of a lifetime. It could not have been any more perfect. We worked hard and learned a lot. The memories and friends made are unforgettable. I only hope that I helped make someone else's trip just as wonderful.
My most memorable trip was the day I went to the Children 's Memorial Hospital to meet my baby brother. Meeting my brother was an indelible moment because I had never felt such happiness and love for someone. On our way there, I also got to create a bond with both my parents and learn how to be a better happier person. At the time I was sixteen years old and was going through a stage where I felt depressed and that’s why the day I arrived at the hospital to meet my brother I felt this warmth in my heart that made me feel happy again.
