My Future Profession

My future profession is an Elementary School Teacher. There are several reasons why I am interested in such a profession. The role of an Elementary School Teacher fits all of my interests, and is closely fitted to my personality. I have had other interests in other fields, but being a teacher is the closest to my preferences and for a career. Elementary school teacher; one who provides, is a career I wish to pursue due to the fact I love working with children, teaching others brings me joy, and having influence over the next generation.

Molding the future for our offsprings and the future to be, guiding, lending a helping hand, and most importantly inspiring the young, being an Elementary School Teacher consists of having to deal with and watch young children. Elementary School Teachers get paid on the average $39,000-50,000 a year, depending on ones location and whether one is going to teach at a public or private school determines their pay (“Wages”1). When going into teaching the ages varies, one will be working with all different ages, such as the age of 21 to 70. As a teacher in Missouri, one will gain access to a system of employee benefits that guarantee a lifetime of support. With the benefits offered to Missouri teachers, one be better prepared for their future retirement, while accessing the health care they will need in the present and future. For one to be eligible for normal retirement they will have to meet a few requirements such as, at age 60 with five years of service , at any age with 30 years of service and, when the sum of their age and years of service equal 80 or more. When one retires it would be in their better interest to have money saved up from the years of teaching, it is not likely for them to be set for life off of a teacher salary for retirement (“Employment and
