My Decision to Study Mechanical Engineering

I want to go to college because I know without a college degree, I would be going nowhere in my life. I want to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering; I have been dreaming about working as a marine surveyor since I was eleven years old. There are many reasons why I want to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering. One reason why I want to become a marine surveyor, marine surveying is my dream job; another reason is as a kid growing up I have always found it fascinating to create things and inspect things. As a kid growing up, because of my interest in inspecting and creating things pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering is be perfect for me. I would be the first person in my family to go to college. College is my opportunity to make something of myself and actually get by and be happy with the knowledge. Also, I want to be a role model for my smaller brother, so he can see that a college education is important. My mother has big part in my choice of me want to go to college. I want to go to college so I can be able to be proud of me; to build a stable foundation, to achieve my goal of being a college graduate, and to prepare myself for the world. Going to college does not just mean getting an education, to me it means succeeding to a level of learning to where I can make something of myself and be proud of it. People say they want to attend college because they just want a good paying job, but that really doesn’t mean anything. Going to college to get a high level of education puts you in a rank of succeeding to the top. I, myself would love to attend college to reach those high peaks that I call my goals. I would want my peers and teacher to remember me how I am today. College education will enable more doors to be opened. We get some of our understanding from on the job experience, but college is the true structure, and without that education, the chance of getting a good job would be bleak. I want to go to college because it will also secure my possession for a good job in my field of dream. College will also increase my chances of a getting a good paying job. College would also improve my social skills, and help me to be a better communicator. In conclusion, college education will prepare me for a more stable, and successful life. I would be proud of my accomplishments that college has to offer. By going to college it will give me a better chance of reaching my goals. These are some of the reasons why I want to go to college.
