Math Education is the most powerful weapon in which you can change the world and teachers have that power. In school I always had a hard time with math and I never really had any teachers that cared to help me. My freshman year of highschool I was put into an Algebra honors class. Mrs. Ahlbrand was the teacher that finally cared enough to help even though, she had a million other students. She is the one teacher that has helped me through my toughest subject. She’s also helped me with my future classes. Math in school has always been my weakest subject. I can’t stand sitting through the notes. My freshman year I had Mrs. Ahlbrand for algebra 1 honors. Mrs. Ahlbrand was really nice and caring. She is super helpful and always knew how to answer my questions. She also made me feel comfortable when it came to do algebra. When she would teach I usually wouldn’t have to study the material, because she made it stick.
I have a new teacher this year and she isn’t has as helpful or caring as Mrs. Ahlbrand, but she is a good teacher. I now have an easier time with algebra, because of Mrs.Ahlbrand and I have an easier time with geometry. Geometry has a lot of Algebra review in it and also uses equations for some of the problems. Alot of the lessons are easier, because I remember them from class last year. I don’t really like math still, but Mrs. Ahlbrand was by far the best math teacher I have had. She has helped me with my weakest subject and I hope I have her for Algebra 2 next year.
I now don’t have a hard time with math anymore. I now understand it better. I’m more comfortable with it. My teacher from last year actually cared and helped me throughout the whole year. I hope I have her next year for algebra 2. I don’t love math, but I’m glad I’m comfortable with it, because My dream career deals with
