A well written song is going to have good lyrics that add to the songs quality. Bono has written songs with good lyrics that are meaningful; Bono wrote a song called Beautiful Day that includes the lyrics “It’s a beautiful day, don’t let it get away”. The song Beautiful Day is uplifting and encourages you to make the most out of every day and turning daily negativity into positivity. Well-written song lyrics are powerful and make you feel something in your emotions and they have meaning beyond the words. Bono’s song lyrics are very expressive and in a sense are true. Along with the lyrics that touch an audience, a good song has a nice tune to go along with the words. A song needs a good tune to go behind the words to make the song worth listening to. Good song lyrics also need fluidity that strings the words together nice and neatly to create a finished song. A good song writer has created a song that has is worth listening to and Bono has done this in
There are a lot of songs to choose form when there is songs that break down norms and one that reinforce some. There are songs that mean nothing. Great songs always have a hidden mean behind them even if when listen to them we do not know what they are.
As a co-writer and producer, Brown has worked to develop many of the artists we have come to know today. Performers such as, Rick Barry, Status Green, Corey Wagar, Jerzy Jung, Natalie Stovall, Alex Brumel, and Andrew Holtz have all come to know his commitment to songwriting quite well, with some gaining major momentum because of it. His long career has seen him go thru several major label recording deals and at least three distinct publishing deals. He has achieved song placements in TV and film, and working with great producers and mentors like Danny Kortchmar (Don Henley, James Taylor, Rod Stewart), Peter Collins (Jewel, Rush, Indigo Girls), Monty Powell (Keith Urban, Lady A, Diamond Rio) and others that he’s no doubt picked up a few tricks from over the years.

In today's modern world, the use of poetry to communicate and express oneself has become quite rare. One of the main reasons is due to the fact that with such an old style of writing, it is very often hard to understand properly. poetry is indeed difficult to read and hard to understand, but given time, it is a rewarding challenge. Poetry is not only written verse but is used in songs as well. Taken the time to listen to the words of modern songs, you will realise that the lyrics of the song are actually a poem linking modern day music to poetry.
As stated in his award-winning song Imagine, “Imagine all the people living life in peace.” By that eight word snippet from one of John Lennon’s most respected pieces of art, you should be able to tell what kind of man he was. Most people know him as one of the four of, in my opinion, of the most legendary bands of all time, The Beatles. One who inspired millions to pursue their dreams, passions, and anything their heart desired. Let me ask you one question, when you think of John Lennon, what do you think of? Do you think of his long hair? The round glasses that were always placed on the bridge of his peculiar nose? The leading reason as to why The Beatles went their own way? You probably don’t think of him as a hero. The stereotypical “hero” type is usually wearing a cape of some sorts, has a cliche catch line, unrealistic powers, and has a color scheme that matches every single thing they own, if you’re batman and you have a basic, overused color, then you’re in good shape. Everything comes in black right? If you’re anything like me, not all heroes have all of those things. My hero wrote legendary songs, inspired millions to do more than just go to comic con to catch a glimpse at a forty year old man with a leotard
In the musical world, there is so much that you can learn and take from a song. However, the only way you can understand a song is by picking up the themes that the artist has used to represent in his music. The way that the artist conveys his/her themes, is by the use of different literary devices to strengthen the emotion in which the artist wants to express the themes of his music. An example of artist portraying their emotions through their music, would be the artists Common and John Legend. In their song “Glory” they talk about the three themes of freedom/glory, togetherness, and power in peace, with the help of using simile, ballad, rhyme, anaphora and lyric.
While Rolling Stones have made music history, Mick Jagger himself is one of the most influential artists in the history of Rock and Roll. This famous, pouty idol of Rock and Roll is not only a musician, but has also dabbled with songwriting and acting. Known for his showmanship, Jagger is today, one of the greatest names in the world of music. He is also a founding member of The Rolling Stones. Mick Jagger carved a niche for himself in the music industry and went on to inspire generations of Rock and Roll enthusiasts. Born into a typical middle class family, he shared his passion for music with another famous artist, Keith Richards, from very early on. His unique vocal style and convulsive, often erotic/suggestive stage movements got the band,
The simplicity of the lyrics allows for the audience to completely understand each word, which speak directly to their emotions causing a feeling of personal connection between the song and the listeners. For example, the song starts
“Imagine there's no heaven, it's easy if you try. No hell, below us, above us, only sky. Imagine all the people living for today.” This song makes you stop and think. Even today the lyrics are relevant. John Lennon had been at one time part of the Beatles. One of the most influential rock and roll bands of all time. Lennon, the former guitarist for the legendary music group, set out for a solo career. He composed the song “Imagine” along with his wife, Yoko Ono. The song asks us to imagine the world at peace.
...ntion to what he is singing about instead of him blurting it all out at a fast rate.
The purpose to write a song or poem shows what the songs deeper meaning is. Music has become one of the most influential devices in world culture. Songs can give you every emotion imaginable. Poetry can do the same
Writing down on paper has been an emotional coping mechanism for humans throughout history. For instance, pastoral poems can show the writer’s use of a shepherd to express their beliefs on love or other thoughts. Similarly, songs can express emotions toward a subject in a lyrical approach. In Christopher Marlowe’s pastoral poem “The Passionate Shepherd to His Love” and Tim Rice’s song “A Whole New World,” although distinct platforms, they both utilize rhyme, repetition, and imagery.

John Lennon, arguably the most influential member of The Beatles, was always considered the leader of the beatles even since their early days when they were known as the Quarryman.
