Vance Staple, Katie Perry, and Imagine Dragons, these are just a few of the worlds most popular artists using there platforms to promote everyday products. Occasionally it can be good or bad if an artist uses their music in advertising. Most of the time artist are taking a risk by trying to promote their music in commercials. I would oppose the use of artist’s music in advertising because they might lose their image, corporations could take over, however organizations can be good business partners in the long run.

To start with, advertising can be bad for artist because they might lose their image by being to involved in advertisements. Fans fall in love with artist from the beginning and if they change something up, fans will start to dislike the artist. Advertisement can work better for smaller bands or artists because they are trying to get noticed. For example, once you sign an endorsement, it is like having someone over you, watching your every move. Once you sign that contract your music might be everywhere replaying or some U.S presidential candidate might start singing your song and that would not be inconvenient. On the other hand, organizations can be good because they can help the cost of an artists tour, while promoting them. For example, an artist can go on tour which costs a lot alone, but a organization can help pay the cost. Some people can be like the Black Eyed Pea’s, where they made advertisement their priority.
