Recommended: The effect of music in young people's lives

Music has helped provided us with ways to express human emotion and take us to another place. As time has progressed music has evolved, changing styles of music and creating a wide range of genres. Transforming for many decades, music has been able to speak the language of generations from generations. Aside from their music, dress and fashion, parental and social expectations were different in fifties teen lives as well. In this essay I will discuss the decade of a teen from the fifties as compared to modern day teens, and the message they both deliver on society.
In the fifties, before the introduction of new music to the world. Parents of teens had just gone through a world war and a depression, changing their perspective on life and wanting what was best for their kids. Suddenly young boys were not having to …show more content…

It has allowed us to go to another place, expressing the emotion and social issues of a particular decade. As our societies morals and beliefs change, music will continue to change with it. With the help of new advancements, music will always be a way for us to speak the language of generations to come and bring a variety of new music, messages, styles, and social expectations.
