I had the pleasure of visiting the Museum of Modern Art in New York city. On top of completing the scavenger hunt, I had an amazing viewing and appreciating the artform of art.
Jasper Johns, Diver created in 1962-63 had an emotional connection to me mainly because I have struggle with feel down and almost staying in that state for a long time. Although that may have not been John's original intention, that was my connection. When I saw we had to pick a piece of artwork that was very emotional I knew I wanted my energy to find the painting before my eyes. As I was walking through the room,I glanced over to the right and saw Diver. I was firstly amazed by the hidden foot and hand prints, as if someone was trapped. The dark canvas also played an eye trick on me at the bottom left of the painting, where John's spells out the word diver. I thought it was ironic that the word was placed at the bottom of the painting. Another amazing detail of this painting was the split of the image in two closed doors. Each foot is at the intersection of the doors while the hand was placed on both sides.
I then entered one of the show rooms, and was amazed at a chair I really wanted to sit in at that very moment. Accumulation No.1 created in 1962 is a beautiful sculpture …show more content…

Find the landscape section was a maze in the big museum of Modern Art. Once finding it, I immediately connected with the character Christina. She appeared as a lost soul gazing at her entire life and wondering how she got to this point. Andrew Wyeth painting was influenced by his neighbor from his home town who had a very terrible diseases, polio. He wanted to portray that although she was crippled physically, didn't mean her spirit was. Her chest is held up while her legs look weak. For some reason I relate to how Christina feels not physically but mentally. This photo brought out the beauty in struggle and I thank Wyeth for
