The Bible states “You shall not murder.” (NIV, Exodus 20:13) Some interpret that taking your own life is an irreversible sin. Furthermore, “Whomever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for the image of God had God made man.” (NIV, Genesis 9:6) Therefore, it condemns you to go to hell instead of going to heaven. Though, the reason behind this is that the “last act while alive was committing murder, so they would die with unconfessed sin” (Kay, 2017, para. 4) Consequently, since the person died while committing the last sin, there is no time to repent. In the moment of anger, frustration, and rage, the only solution to solve our problem for some people seems to be taking their ow life. Bible states so under God’s Law, say “murder is wrong” (Woodford, 2017, ?) Also, Woodford cites the Bible that in (NIV, Exodus 20:13 ) “You shall not murder”. Reason being that when you commit suicide there is no time to repent from the act of sin. Therefore, you are condemned from the sin. Woodford quotes Genesis that “Whoever shed the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God had God made man.” (NIV, Genesis 9:6) In the case of Hannah, Woodford addresses that she committed suicide as an act of revenge and willful. Though Hannah wanted all her pain to stop so in the process to teach a lesson to all of those who hurt her. However, it became an act of defiant against God’s command instead. When in the moment of weakness driven by pain, rage, sorrow, and all the emotions that lead a person to take their own life. The hasty and foggy scene when the only way to solve our problem is taking your own life. For whatever all of the odds reason it may be, the act is not against anyone else but against God.
