Relative Location from Australia: Vanuatu is north East from Australia and is approximately 3623 kilometers in distance. It takes around 4 hours to fly to Vanuatu from Sydney. The country lies between latitudes 13° and 21°S and longitudes 166° and 171°E.

Q2: Multilateral Aid is the main type of aid given to Vanuatu. Countries such as China, USA and Australia all provide aid to Vanuatu, directly to the government and councils of specific areas to improve infrastructure for roads, buildings and schools, aid is also given to improve education and help their economy rise. Australia benefits in many ways from assisting Vanuatu, whether the benefits be culturally, economically or geopolitically. A few cultural benefits that Australia receives are; the improvement of our reputation and the preservation of historical and cultural ties made with other countries, especially Vanuatu. Due to Vanuatu being geographically close to Australia, it proves Australia is taking care of their surrounding neighbor’s. Economically, giving aid helps the development of global trade, and stimulates our economic status; making many more jobs available in aid agencies therefore increasing overall jobs in Australia, also increasing annual salaries for many people. Aid assistance to Vanuatu also allows Australia to strengthen their ties with other countries therefore producing less risk of future war, and helps with the improvement of border security. Cooperation between Vanuatu and Australia will also be sustained meaning issues can be discussed together mutually. Assisting countries in need with aid will always provide Australia with benefits and will improve areas such as our recognition, reputation and our relationships with countries, especially Vanuatu. Due to Vanuatu needing aid to assist with their development, the reciprocation of money back to Australia is not available at the moment, but in the future the Vanuatu Government plans to give back to
