Mother Teresa is one of the most recognized women in the world. Teresa brought in a revolutionary change in the world with her positive thoughts and love for humanity. Her missionary work started way back 1931 when she was still a little girl. She joined the Nuns as a kid in 1931, and she was later named Teresa from Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu. It was in respect and honor of the Saints of Theresa. Mother Teresa’s missions were concentrated around helping the poor people with their basic needs such as food, water and shelter. She also demonstrated a lot of interest in taking care of the weak and defenseless people in the society. Evidence from her residence in the Indian village of Calcutta reveals that she sympathized with the poor and the vulnerable people in the society. Although she had conducted other voluntary missions before, the love for human beings was revealed when she decided to live among the poor people in the village of Calcutta. Her compassionate nature was largely derived from the teachings of Jesus Christ. For example, one of the many articles on Mother Teresa observed that Mother Teresa was on several occasions heard quoting the teachings of Jesus Christ. One of the quotes that she referred to was “Whatever you do to the least of my brethren, you do it to me” (Emilie 3). It was her idea that people should yearn for peace by evading violence and creating equal opportunities for each other. Similar to the foregoing point, Teresa argued that the society could only live together in harmony if the virtue of love was cultivated. In emphasizing this concept, Mother Teresa seemed to have posited that love bounded people from harming each other (Yang 135). For example, she believed that peace in the society began with unity of purpose. Although many, at the time, saw no issue with using a patient without consent issue with what?, on numerous occasions since then courts have determined that having consent is necessary for taking any cells. The story of Henrietta lacks is has similarities to an episode of Law and Order titled Immortal, which is an ethical conundrum. Despite this, the shows are not exactly the same and show differences between them.
