Mother Earth and the Impacts of Human Activities

950 Words2 Pages

Have you ever thought that human activities could either enhance or damage our planet? Many people nowadays realize that there are some human activities that help the planet to be more sophisticated, while more other activities bring damage to Earth. In fact, there are not many activities made by humans that benefit the planet because many people tend to secure their own food and welfare even though such activities could harm the Earth.
After the industrial revolution, the world had become much faster than it used to be in the middle ages. It is important, though, to know that industry makes new innovations that humans could benefit from, but sometimes these innovations might have negative impacts on our planet. For instance, during the 1900s, humans invented motor vehicles that help people to transport from one place to the other faster than what it used to be in the past. This was very beneficial for humans to use as a new technology that makes our daily activates much easier than the past, but the fact is that global warming has had just begun to increase during the 1900s. Despite the few human activities that benefit Earth, there are many activities that harm the planet, such as industrialization, transportation, population, and agriculture. All of such that cause pollution which is the main factor that planet Earth suffers the most.
Almost all automobiles in world release gases which contain soot and carbon dioxide. Soot has always played an important role for global warming. “Soot is the second predominant agent after carbon dioxide which forces warming by contributing 1.1 watts per square meter of soot to the atmosphere” (Richard A. Kerr, 2013). Soot can affect the climate by absorbing sunlight, shrinking cloud...

...are the three most factors that affect the Earth, which prevent the planet from being a better place and from being more sophisticated to all the livings. Once humans cooperate together in order to find resolutions for such an issue, then our planet will slowly heal again from all of the arrows which tagged the name of ‘enhancement’ that were indeed targeting and damaging the Mother Earth.
