The World’s Most BEAUTIFUL Sport
Passion plays a huge role in my life. I have always been fascinated in the soccer world. I played as a young boy, since I could remember. I had begged and begged my parents to let me join a soccer team. Until one day, I was in 4th grade and had walked out of my classroom after being picked up by mom and had seen a couple of kids my age practicing. My mom asked me if I wanted to ask if i could join. I jumped in joy and instantly said YES YES YES! At that moment I was so excited to begin my soccer career. Unfortunately I quit playing because my mother noticed that the coach wasn’t so nice to the players. I went a long time without playing soccer and I attempted to try new sports such as kick-boxing and Football. I was really into kick-boxing but I didn’t necessarily ‘love’ the sport. I knew that although I was open to trying new sports, none could ever compare to soccer.

So far i’ve been capable of learning new tactics that their coach uses. Every day I learn something new from my mentor Andres. He’s been coaching for 8 years. He says he feels that he learns something each day too. He said he perceives different ways the kids play. I mainly like to focus on helping the kids understand how to think smart when it comes to tight situations in games. I want to help them get the right amount of stretching.

When I turned three, I started playing my favorite sport to this day, Soccer! I love soccer because it gives me this feeling of excitement and I just love winning with all of my friends on the field. I loved soccer and I looked forward to it every day. I met a lot of my friends in soccer and it is one of the reasons that I started to become an athletic person. Soccer is still my favorite sport and I love it. I am planning to still play soccer up to the varsity team.
Abstract: Youth Soccer has recently evolved into a fiercely competitive arena. More and more children are leaving recreational leagues to play in highly competitive select leagues. While select sports are a valuable resource where children can learn how to socialize and become self-motivated, children who start at young ages, ten and eleven, can suffer psychological and physical damage. A child's youth sporting experience is directly influenced by the attitudes, sportsmanship and behavior of their parents and coaches.
I played soccer since I was seven, as of the last few years I played at a very high level. I have represented Ohio South two times at a regional showcase, I have been invited to participate in a camp in Manchester, England and attended the camp twice. Also last Season for the Newark High School soccer team I was named first team all league and third team all central district. Soccer was the first sport I truly loved to do, I wanted to be the best. I work hours upon hours to master whatever part of the game I wanted to improve on. Soccer has taught me to have a great work ethic, and that mentality came when I was cut from the state team the first time I tried out. It was the worst thing that has ever happened to me, I was destroyed, and I thought I was not good but I knew I could do better. The next year I worked, I got bigger, stronger, faster, my soccer I.Q. was higher;therefore, overall I was a much better player. The result of that work, was that I made the team, but not only, I made the starting line up. After that I knew I could accomplish anything I put my mind to.
Living in Haiti comes with its perks, growing up surrounded by soccer being one of them. As a child, my godfather could constantly be seen kicking a ball around, always in his element when on a field, according to my father. His passion for the sport was exceptional, and so, he decided to continue expanding the sport and his love for it by starting the FC Toro soccer club. Likewise, I can see that passion in the eyes of first younger brother every day, working hard to accomplish his dream of someday becoming a professional soccer player. And so, when my godfather proposed to start an all-girls soccer team, I was zealous to be a part of it. Today, soccer is one of the biggest parts of my life, and I am continuously training to improve my
Soccer is not seen as a non-traditional sport for women, especially not since the US Women's National Team won the World Cup in 1999, but like most women's sports it was at one time thought of as a male only sport. I grew up in a very athletic family, where both my brother and my father loved to play soccer, so naturally I fell in love with the sport at a very young age, in fact I was about 5 when I started playing. At that time I was one of the few girls playing in the only peewee league; a league that was co-ed. It was really hard for me and I can remember the frustration I went though, because none of the boys believed that I was capable of playing at their level. In their mind I was just a girl and there was no way that I would ever be able to compete with them. This attitude did not just disappear with age, in fact it followed me until I finally found one of the local girls team. I am going to explore the challenges that women have to go through daily in order to compete at the highest-level possible. There are many issues that women must face concerning how they define themselves as a woman and how to relate to the rest of society.
From an early age I always knew I would be playing soccer my whole life. My dad showed me the ropes of how to play and got me interested right away. By the age of three I had started playing, and to this day I have not stopped. Soccer has been a huge part of my life and I don’t know where I would be today if I never played. I met some amazing people playing soccer including my coaches who encouraged me and told me never to give up as well as my teammates who became my friends and were always there for me.
While I have developed my soccer skills over the years, the relationships I have built with people are treasured more than my ability to play the game. Playing soccer has granted me the opportunity to be surrounded by an extensive family of people who truly love me. I am forever indebted to the sport for bringing me into love-filled relationships with players and coaches alike.
In conclusion, soccer is my favorite sport because, it is an easy and enjoyable game. It releases energy while you play. Teammates make connections which can last from one game to the rest of their lives. The game also has a rich history that shows the game was enjoyed before modern times. If you have not tried the sport I suggest you do, YOU WILL NOT REGRET

Soccer is a very easily understood and exciting sport. A soccer game can change in a matter of 30 seconds. When in a football game it can take some time. Soccer is an easily likable sport and it is easily understood. Soccer is more exciting than any other sport as there are no boundaries on what you could do. The definition of soccer: “A game played by two teams of eleven players with a round ball that may not be touched with the hands or arms during play except by the goalkeepers. The object of the game is to score goals by kicking or heading the ball into the opponent 's ' goal.” When I think about the thing I’m most passionate about, soccer pops into my head right away. Soccer represents more than just a game to me. The sport gives me an outlet distract me from the real world, it taught me to overcome a battle that shaped my character, and my teammates bring out the best in me.
I was always taught that soccer was to be about the love of the game and that it should be fun. Unfortunately, I faced many obstacles that I needed to overcome before I could truly love the game for what it was worth. I grew and continued to love the game, knowing little at the time of the obstacles I would be faced with, and would need to overcome. My struggles with soccer began early in my life. Finally, we have reached the age to play sports, but what sport would be the best? Many kids turn to baseball and football because these are America’s past time sport, but there is always a select few that choose soccer. Why, because their parents force them to play. Soccer, in a parents point of view, is seen as a safe exercise sport, you can make friends and most important, get outside. At such a young age, kids have never been the best at following directions, which leads to chaos on the field. Kids swarm around the ball wishing for the chance to kick the ball a couple of times. In all truth, “Kids don't grow up wanting to watch tag on TV, or be a professional tag player, and that's really how most kids who play it view soccer. It's fun, its outdoors and it involves running around, but that's about it” (Emen). Besides the fact of parents forcing soccer down the kids throat, they get the image that soccer will forever be a disorganized sport, which in all truth can be at some points. The main reason for this is because in America, we were never taught how to play s...
