Rodd reinforces her claim by using logos when giving examples of how much money is spent on lunch programs together with how many millions of fast-food lunches are sold at schools, with pathos by illustrating how fast-food corporations are creating the future`s consumer habits by affecting children`s eating behaviors, and also with ethos by mentioning different programs and government regulations and laws that took place to limit nutritional values in lunches which proves how Rodd researched about this topic and became an expert. Rodd`s purpose is to educate people in America about how fast food corporations need to be better regulated in order to show how they are preventing children and high school students of making nutritious choices thus adding weight to the obesity epidemic in America. Rodd`s tone is critical and informative to aid her audience, who are mainly parents and high school students, to be aware of how fast foods are available even in schools.
