Recommended: Summary statement of monarch butterflies

Watched multiple adult monarch butterflies feeding at the flowers near by the pool in front of Idea Center. There are number of butterfly species in the campus but monarch butterflies are larger than any of them. They flew to the flower and unbent their convolute mouthpart and insert them into flowers to suck nectar. Unlike other butterflies consume a flower just a few seconds or even flying while sucking, monarch butterflies would stay on a single flower for a while. Due to this feature, their breasts were usually stick with pollens and this might help flowers’ long-distance reproduction since they are migratory species. The gypsy moth usually lives in open forests and other forests and take up at least 20% of the space.
