This crime industry will continue to occur if no one will take action, or we acknowledge this a modern slavery is happening in these decades. Modern sex slavery occurs all over this country, yet it occurs here, the problem with detecting its appearance people have the mentality that this community is a safe environment for our family. This was six-month investigation by both Tulare County Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Task Force, and the California Department of Justice, which the led two arrests of “Quinton Brown, 30, of Highland, and Gerald Turner, 32, of Fresno, were arrested on suspicion of 54 charges relating to sex trafficking, pimping, pandering, grand theft and identity theft.” (The Los Angeles Daily News) The Los Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Task Force was established in 2015, there have been 697 arrests, and of those, about 30 percent were male buyers. “There have been 185 victims rescued, a majority of them youths who were sex trafficked”.
