As humans, we are easily deceived. We usually tend to want to try to take the path of least resistance and we have to constantly force ourselves not to. I really do like your parking lot example and again it shows the difference in perception. I'm big with fitness and I not only realized that I was taking more time to find a good parking spot than actually just park. I constantly force myself to avoid a sedentary life and many times that includes walking the fifty extra steps from the parking plot to the grocery store. It is no secret how much difficult it is to have a healthy meal than it is to just order pizza or a take out.
