Recommended: Conclusions on social media and mental health

I believe that minors should be allowed to have access to social media because it allows for them to express who they truly are. It also helps minors communicate with others from their hometown or from around the world. Social media allows loved ones to communicate with those far and close. For instance, not everyone lives in the same city/country; thus, making it hard stay in contact. Although, this communication is able to continue if one has social media accounts like Facebook, Instagram, or Snapchat. This is allowed to take place because these social media accounts in specific allows its users to show both friends and family small things like what they're eating, or big things like who they just got married to. This reveals that social media isn't a negative thing but instead plays a positive role in our lives because it allows us to build relationships and keep them healthy. Some minors have a hard time talking to others which is when social media comes in handy because their looking at a screen and not a person's face makes it easier for them to socialize. Which is why there are YouTuber's. most YouTubers are actually very shy when you meet them in person compared to when you watch their YouTube videos.Why is that? It's easier for them to talk to a camera than it is to talk to a person. Many people think that minors shouldn't have any connection to social media because they are worried that the minor won't be mature enough to own one and will use their account for the wrong reasons that may affect them in the future or they may be using it for bulling or to send/post inappropriate
