Middle East Conflict & Blood Feuds

The knowledge and understanding of blood feuds helps in the develop understanding of the current conflicts in the Middle East. The Middle East conflict started after World War II when the United Nations handed the Jewish people land once owned by the Palestinians. A conflict has occurred with the Palestinians who live together with Israelis that has led to terrorism and tyranny. Israelis believe they must control the Palestinians to stop their terrorism; while the Palestinians use terrorism to seek independence from Israelis. Blood Feuds in Thull are similar to the situation in the Middle East and are violently depicted in Lincoln Keiser's "Friend by Day Enemy By Night."

After World War II, the United Nations handed the Jewish people a piece a land so they could live together. This land known as Israel has holy places for the Jewish religion and is surrounded by Muslim countries. Before the United Nations relinquished the land to the Jewish people it belonged to the Palestinian Muslims. This land is important to the Muslims as they consider it holy. There is a religious belief among Palestinians to regain control of East Jerusalem as part of lasting peace region. Also Palestinians are in an occupied nation with Israelis have military rule. The Palestinians have retaliated with a terrorist network to attack innocent Israeli civilians. Israelis believe they must control the Palestinians with military force to protect against terrorism.

Palestinians are restricted by the Israeli soldiers as they hinder them at checkpoints between cities. Therefore, Palestinians must get approval each day to finish everyday tasks. However since Palestinians use terrorism to revolt the Israeli soldiers ab...

...ations but it stemmed from a social difference. Blood Feud affects individuals and also doesn't affect everyone in Thull at all times. However, in the Middle East the conflict deliberately affects everyone on opposing sides. Entering a Blood Feud is a war of opposing individuals but Middle East conflict is a continuing war.

Blood Feud and the Conflict in the Middle East are both institutions that negatively affect the world. Even thou Blood Feud are culturally bonded and it maybe impossible to end a tradition because the entire society lives by. Nonetheless it is their cultural and it is isolated occurrence and it is their decision to live by it. The continuation of war in the Middle East has ruined both cultures as it promoted Palestinians to seek terrorism and murder innocent people. It has corrupted the Israeli's to tyrannical control the Palestinians.
