Michael Jordan is a 6 time NBA champion, made it to the NBA finals in all 6 of his finales championships, and he earned the title as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award 5 times ( A&E Networks). Michael owns his own shoe line with his most popular shoe being the Air Jordan 1, the Jordan 4’s, and many more. Also, his a net worth 1.6 billion dollars, but Jordan uses his massive earnings to give back to the community. Not only is Michael Jordan a superstar basketball player but he is also a person who loves to give money to people who need it.

One way that Michael Jordan helped people was by giving 8.9 million dollars that he won in a court case to 23 different charities. Jordan said, “ The 23 charities I've chosen to make donations to all support the health, education, and well-being of the kids of Chicago. Chicago has given me so much and I want to give back to its kids — the city's future”

With the donation, it will help “open two Novant Health Michael Jordan Family Clinics in Charlotte. These comprehensive medical clinics will serve some of the most at-risk and underserved communities in Charlotte and are expected to open in late 2020” (Novant health). Michael said his main reason for doing this was because “More than 100,000 Charlotteans do not have health insurance. Families living in underserved communities face barriers, including difficulty accessing primary and preventive mental health services”(Michael Jordan: Novant health). Also, this clinic will provide vital access to primary and preventive care to individuals in the community who have little or no health care. By providing an avenue for affordable, high-quality care, including behavioral health, physical therapy, social work, oral health and family planning children and families will have a stable, integrative medical home to address their health care needs right in their
