Charles Warren “C.W” Williams created the Metrolina Health Center and some other colleagues with the help of a $25,000 grant from the Department of Health and Human Services. Dr. Williams, recruited Dr. John Murphy, a local dentist; Peggy Beckwith, Sickle Cell Association director and Bob Ellis a health planner. They will help with the design of the health facility for the most needed population of Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
