Insanity, also known as severe mental illness or derangement. Mental illness is any disease or condition that impacts the way a person thinks, feels, behaves, and relates to others and to the person’s surroundings. A person with an untreated mental illness is unable to cope with life's daily routines and demands at most time. Mental illnesses are not uncommon. In reality, they are more common than other health diseases. Around 20% of the world's children and adolescents have mental disorders. Similar types of disorders are being reported regardless of culture. Most conditions were caused by biological, psychological and environmental factor.

In this era, mental disorder is common especially in teens. Firstly, consumers of drugs may lead to mental disorder. The addiction causes desperation of consumers to take any insane action to gain more drugs. The second factor of mental illness is genetics. Besides that, growing up in a dysfunctional family will also lead to insanity. This is because people experience trauma and pain from their parents' actions, words, and attitudes. On the other hand, bullying can also lead to mental illness. Study found that preteens who were bullied were twice as likely to experience psychotic symptoms compared to their peers who were not bullied. Because of this causes, it will affect the children in their future. Growing up in dysfunctional family will causes children grew up changed, different from other children, and missing parts of their childhood when they were forced into unnatural roles within their family.
